A few years ago, I was stuck in a situation with no clear way forward or back. I wanted out, but couldn’t figure out how. One sleepless night, I came across a story that inspired me to keep trying until I broke through.
A couple got lost in the jungle without any safety supplies, and after a few days of trying to find their way out, they reached a dead end.
They found a bag with a matchbox in it, so they set a fire, hoping someone would see the smoke and come to rescue them. The fire burned out, and nobody came.
Then they found the body of the man who owned the bag. He got to that place, too, but did not make it out.
One feared that would be their fate, too. But the other said, “No, this fucked up shit is not going to be our story”.
So they returned to the only thing they had – the matchbox, and set a fire again.
This time, they made it bigger and wilder and did not let it burn out. Then, someone saw the smoke and came to their rescue.
